Ask HN: Should HN require/encourage job postings to have a salary range?

In the spirit of some states now requiring salary ranges for job postings I think it would be good if HN followed that trend. I often read the “Who is hiring?” posts but I have no idea if the jobs are even remotely within my range. I think it would save everybody a lot of time if a range was posted.
